**HIGHLY SPECIALIST DIETITIAN BAND 7 - SHEFFIELD**

SHEFFIELD CHILDREN’S NHS FOUNDATION TRUST. The Dietetic Department provides a highly valued service across the Trust. We are looking for an experienced paediatric dietitian to join our team as Clinical Lead Dietitian for the Trust’s allergy service. This could be a full-time post or as a 0.6wte part-time post.

Highly Specialist Dietitian, Ref 425-228-10

Band 7 – £30,460 - £40,157 per annum (pro rata)

37.5 hours per week, but part-time/job share will be considered

You will require at least one years' experience in paediatric dietetics, preferably including some in allergy.

You will be responsible for a mixed case load providing dietetic support to in-patients, for out-patients at dietitian-led and MDT clinics, and to identify and implement service priorities and developments. Your role will include regular patient monitoring and review, troubleshooting, liaison with MDT and other colleagues, and education.

The post will be based in the friendly hospital Dietetic Department which has 12 dietitians (8.3 wte), secretarial staff, Special Feed Unit staff and good IT facilities. The department is committed to CPD and personal development.  We are moving towards a departmental model based around clinical teams which will enhance the service, support the Head of Department and develop the non-clinical knowledge and skills of the Band 7 dietitians.

You will supervise Band 6 dietitians on a day-to-day basis and through formal clinical supervision as well as being involved in pre-registration training for student dietitians on their A placement and for part of C placements in Sheffield.
