SHEFFIELD CHILDREN’S NHS FOUNDATION TRUST.
The Dietetic Department
provides a highly valued service across the Trust. We are
looking for an experienced paediatric dietitian to join our team as
Clinical Lead Dietitian for the Trust’s allergy service. This
could be a full-time post or as a 0.6wte part-time post.

Band 7 – £30,460 - £40,157 per annum (pro
rata)
37.5 hours per week, but part-time/job share
will be considered
You will require at least one
years' experience in paediatric dietetics, preferably including
some in allergy.
You will be responsible for a
mixed case load providing dietetic support to in-patients, for
out-patients at dietitian-led and MDT clinics, and to identify and
implement service priorities and developments. Your role will
include regular patient monitoring and review, troubleshooting,
liaison with MDT and other colleagues, and education.
The post will be based in the
friendly hospital Dietetic Department which has 12 dietitians (8.3
wte), secretarial staff, Special Feed Unit staff and good IT
facilities. The department is committed to CPD and personal
development. We are moving towards a departmental model based
around clinical teams which will enhance the service, support the
Head of Department and develop the non-clinical knowledge and
skills of the Band 7 dietitians.
You will supervise Band 6
dietitians on a day-to-day basis and through formal clinical
supervision as well as being involved in pre-registration training
for student dietitians on their A placement and for part of C
placements in Sheffield.
Sheffield is close to the
beautiful Peak District yet is a vibrant city with excellent
transport links.
