Our editorial team is a
veritable 'who's who' of expert dietitians and nutrition
professionals - in fact why not click here to see a brief
profile of some of them. These are not editorial advisors; they all
contribute independent editorial on a regular basis.
Our mission is to provide an
entertaining, thought-provoking experience for dietitians,
nutritionists, students and professionals with an interest in
nutrition issues and to the public at large who are now taking a
concerted interest in nutrition matters.
We publish 10 issues a year in
the first week of each month and the website you're now visiting is
awash with daily news, resources, live jobs, articles, your
comments and much more. More than 3,400 unique users visit

NHD team
A brief history of
everything NHD...
In early 2005 Geoff Weate, then
deputy editor of a recruitment publication, investigated starting a
magazine in the Allied Health Professionals sector, based on his
knowledge of the recruitment market.
Market research and good advice
- not least from an enthusiastic dietitian - led to the inescapable
conclusion that Dietetics was the AHP sector most likely to grow in
importance and stature in the short and long term.
Network Health Dietitians was
launched at the BDA Cardiff conference in June 2005 that year with
something of a bang. Amongst the event's emminent throng was one
Neil Donnelly: a BDA Fellow and former editor of their now defunct
Advisor magazine for all of it's 90 issues spanning 26
years.
Neil took little convincing
that NHD had great potential and to this day he has been the
key driving force editorially, along with one of the UK's most
prominent freelance dietitians, Ursula Arens who acts as Features
Editor.
The editorial brief has not
changed since day one. The goal of NHD is to be an
interesting, informative and entertaining read for nutrition and
dietetic professionals.
With nutrition increasingly
becoming part of the public conciousness and
diet-related health care crises looming, NHD looks forward to
continuing our development as the UK's premier independent magazine
for nutrition and dietetics.
