The company has experienced consistent growth of approximately 20% per year for the past five years, taking the brand to a clear leadership position in the UK and Ireland.

A new opportunity has arisen for a full-time Nutritionist or Dietitian to join our Nutrition, Health and Research Department for an initial 12-month maternity cover period. The successful candidate will be joining a busy department, helping to support the on-going development of the company’s health-based literature and information in line with latest advances and understanding in nutrition and weight management. They’ll also help to answer a wide range of nutrition and health-related queries.

In the role as Nutrition and Health Co-ordinator you’ll support the Nutrition and Health team to ensure the company stays abreast of latest research and national guidelines and that information provided by the company remains in line with this. You’ll provide nutrition and health-related information, advice and support to the Consultants who run Slimming World’s groups in response to members’ specific health concerns and online queries. The role will also involve responding to queries and requests for information from external sources and internal departments (e.g. Slimming World magazine and Slimming World websites) and attending professional nutrition and health-related conferences.

We welcome applicants with a nutrition or dietetic degree or higher qualification and would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate excellent all round communication and team-working skills, with a real passion for nutrition, weight management and public health. You’ll also have:
• a naturally warm and friendly communication style across a wide variety of channels, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• the ability to organise your own time, prioritise and work to deadlines
• the ability to translate science and health-related material into user friendly, practical advice and information.
• preferably post-education experience or relevant placement experience

Normal hours of work will be 37 ½ hours per week, usually working Monday to Friday.
